i've was working on a key fob case
The day I moved into my university dorm, I received a key fob and a mailbox key. If you were as excited as I am to move in, imagine my disappointment when I saw that my key fob looked like this:

A tear dropped when I saw that this unsightly teardrop fob was the key that I'm suppose to use through the semester, and the frustrating part is; if you misplace the fob, it's $50 for a replacement.
So, I wanted to solve this problem by designing a case to enclose the fob, solving the issues of:
- durability
- design
- and "feel"
Here are some of the initial prototypes. The bulk of the time spent was mostly adjusting the peg tolerances and testing a few different designs of enclosing the lid with the base.

And this is the final design that I'm currently using:

I'm happy with how it turned out and if I were to revisit this project, I might add a Kumiko pattern on the cover or using a patterned baseplate to add texture when printing.
The next project I'm thinking about is designing an graphic poster advertisement for this key fob case.
Tools used in this project were:
- Fusion 360 for design
- Bambu A1 Mini for 3D printing
